Firearm Safety, Pistol Nomenclature  and Selecting a Pistol for Self-Defense, Basic Defensive Pistol Skills,  Drawing from Concealment, Loading and Stoppage Remediation, Mindset,  Carry Modes and Pistol Concealment, Firearm Cleaning, and Sport Shooting  and Training Activities. Course length is at least 8 hours.  Additionally, students complete live fire training and a nationally  standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA  Certified Instructor. Students will receive reference books, take a NRA CCW Student Examination and receive a course completion certificate bearing the signature of the NRA Secretary and your NRA Certified  Instructor.  Receive all information to apply for non-resident permits including Florida, Arizona, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.

3. Firearm: semi-automatic or revolver with holster and 2 magazines or speed loaders.  

• Holster should be a level 2 outside waistband hip holster with a sturdy belt. 
• Please no appendix, cross draw, shoulder, chest, pocket, purse, ankle, thigh, or fanny pack holsters. These holsters are best addressed in an advanced CCW course. 

4.  Proper clothing for the weather conditions, including a jacket or shirt that will conceal your holster. No open toe shoes. Hat with a brim and shirt that fits snugly around neck are recommended.   

5.  A minimum of 150 rounds of ammunition for the firearm you are using.  Factory ammunition only-no reloads.

6. Fee: Cash or money order please.

1. Bullet resistant vest.

2. Gun cleaning kit.

3. Bug spray, sunscreen, rain wear items as are desired.

4. Pen/pencil.

5. You should plan on a working lunch, so bring a sandwich or the like and any snacks/drinks you may require
