The Instructor Led course offers comprehensive firearm training in a traditional classroom and range environment. This NRA Basic Pistol course can be completed in a single day format or spread out over several days with smaller blocks of instruction, ensuring thorough coverage of pistol safety course material.

Gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety are essential components of our firearm training. In this NRA Basic Pistol safety course, students will also complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification under the guidance of an NRA Certified Instructor. Participants will receive the NRA Guide: Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, take the Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and earn a course completion certificate bearing the signature of the NRA Secretary and their NRA Certified Instructor.
